Nick founded FFG in June of 1998. First as a one-person operation in Lake Bluff, Illinois, FFG is now a true market leader in the areas of Employee Benefit and Human Resource consulting.
Before starting FFG, Nick was as a Sales Representative for The New England Group where he took great advantage of the company’s intensive training program, learning both traditionally funded and self-funded concepts. He then went to work for a small, independent employee benefits broker in Glenn Ellyn, Illinois, helping the business double in size during his three-year tenure. His last position before forming FFG was a brief stopover at a small brokerage operation.
With more than 16 years of employee benefit consulting experience, Nick is a recognized expert in the area of Consumer Directed Health Plans (CDHP). He speaks regularly on the topic at various industry-related seminars and conferences.
Nick earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business from Northern Illinois University (NIU). He takes great pride in his alma mater and remains very involved in the University and, more specifically, the College of Business. He was the recipient of the NIU Department of Marketing College of Business 2006 Alumni of the Year Award and also serves on the NIU Executive Club Board of Directors and NIU College of Business Board of Advisors. In addition to his work through NIU, Nick is on the Rush Associates Board and serves on the board of directors for the James R. Jordan Boys and Girls Club of Chicago. He is also an active participant on industry trend advisory boards.
